Most property AI drafts text. The expensive part of an agency is not writing — it is the hundreds of small follow-ups that keep a chain moving.
Drafting is the cheap part
Property listing copy takes a few minutes. Getting a chain from offer to exchange takes months of persistence: knowing who owes an answer, when they were last asked, and what happens if they miss.
Tools that only generate text sit on top of the existing workload. They make a small task faster and leave the structural problem untouched.
Agents that hold a process
Useful AI in this industry has to hold state: the file, the dependencies, the deadlines, the evidence. It has to act on schedule rather than when prompted, and write every outcome back so the next action is obvious.
That is a different kind of system — closer to an operations team than a chat window. It needs the CRM, the compliance record, the diary and the comms in one place, because a chase is only as good as the file behind it.
Humans keep the judgement
Price, risk, chain strategy and any conversation a person should hear from a person stay with the team. Everything mechanical — the chasing, the checking, the recording — does not need a human, and has never been a good use of one.
